Fatal traffic accident in Central
Police are investigating a traffic accident in which a 73-year-old man was killed in Central this morning (July 22).
At about 9.30 am, a private car driven by a 27-year-old man was travelling along southbound Garden Road. Upon reaching near Magazine Gap Road, the vehicle reportedly knocked down the 73-year-old man who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the elderly man was rushed to Queen Mary Hospital where he was certified dead at 7.33 pm.
Investigations will be taken over by the Special Investigation Team, Traffic, Hong Kong Island.
