Five persons charged with conspiracy to defraud
Police charged two men and three women aged between 33 and 38 jointly with one count of conspiracy to defraud.
The five persons were arrested after they approached and persuaded a 60-year-old woman to collect her cash and valuables for spiritual blessing at South Horizons in Aberdeen on July 19. Police later received a report made by the victim's husband and arrested the fraudsters at the scene. The victim suffered no loss.
The five persons appeared in Eastern Magistrates' Courts this morning (July 21).
