Special traffic arrangements in Causeway Bay
Police will implement special traffic arrangements and crowd management measures in the vicinity of Victoria Park to facilitate the holding of a show today (July 2).
The following traffic arrangements will be implemented until the completion of the event and crowd situation resumes normal:
(A) Road closure:
The following arrangements will be implemented between 2 pm and 6 pm and if necessary:
1. Sugar Street;
2. A section of Great George Street between Paterson Street and northbound Gloucester Road;
3. A section of westbound Kingston Street between Gloucester Service Road and Paterson Street;
4. A section of Paterson Street between Kingston Street and Great George Street;
5. Cleveland Street;
6. A section of eastbound Kingston Street between Paterson Street and Gloucester Service Road;
7. A section of Paterson Street between Gloucester Service Road and Kingston Street;
8. A section of northbound Gloucester Service Road from the U-turn loop underneath Tai Hang Road Flyover to Kingston Street;
9. A section of southbound Gloucester Road between Victoria Park Road Flyover and Causeway Road; and
10. Hing Fat Street.
(B) Traffic Diversion:
The following arrangements will be implemented between 2 pm and 6 pm and if necessary:
1. All vehicles travelling along southbound Gloucester Road will not be allowed to turn right onto U-turn loop leading to northbound Gloucester Road;
2. All vehicles travelling along eastbound Yee Wo Street will not be allowed to turn left onto Sugar Street;
3. All vehicles travelling along northbound Tai Hang Road Flyover will not be allowed to turn left onto westbound Kingston Street;
4. All vehicles travelling along southbound Paterson Street must turn left to Kingston Street;
5. All vehicles travelling along southbound Cleveland Street will not be allowed to turn right onto westbound Kingston Street;
6. All vehicles travelling along westbound Gloucester Service Road will not be allowed to turn left onto Cleveland Street; and
7. All vehicles travelling along westbound Inner Gloucester Service Road will not be allowed to turn left onto Paterson Street.
The following arrangements will be implemented about three minutes before the show:
(C) Road closure:
1. A section of westbound Island Eastern Corridor between Hing Fat Street Ramp and Victoria Park Road; and
2. A section of Tai Hang Road Flyover between Tung Lo Wan Road and Victoria Park Road.
(D) Traffic diversion:
1. All vehicles travelling along westbound Island Eastern Corridor must turn left onto Hing Fat Street Ramp; and
2. All vehicles travelling along northbound Tai Hang Road must turn onto Tung Lo Wan Road.
(E) Suspension of Hing Fat Street carpark:
1. Hing Fat Street carpark except the disable and motorcycle parking spaces will be suspended between noon and 7 pm.
Motorists are urged to take heed of traffic signs at the scene and instructions by Traffic Police.
