Special traffic arrangements for parade in Kwun Tong
Police will implement special traffic arrangements to facilitate the holding of a parade in Kwun Tong on July 2 (Monday).
A. Road closure
The following road closure will be implemented between 9 am and 7 pm:
(a) A section of Yue Man Square between Tung Yan Street and Fu Yan Street;
(b) A section of northbound Tung Yan Street between Kwun Tong Road and Yue Man Square;
The following road closure will be implemented between noon and 5 pm:
(a) A section of Yue Man Square between Fu Yan Street and Hong Ning Road;
(b) A section of both bounds Ngau Tau Kok Road between Jordon Valley North Road and Hong Ning Road;
(c) A section of Chun Wah Road between On Wah Street and Ngau Tau Kok Road;
(d) A section of On Tak Road between On Wah Street and Ngau Tau Kok Road;
(e) An access road of Kwun Tong Road between Kwun Tong Road and Ngau Tau Kok Road;
(f) A section of Ting On Street between Ting Yip Street and Ngau Tau Kok Road;
(g) Both bounds Sheung Yee Road Flyover;
(h) A section of On Shin Road between Ngau Tau Kok Road and Garden Estate Carpark;
(i) A section of Elegance Road between Kwun Tong Road and Ngau Tau Kok Road;
(j) A section of northbound Kwun Tong Road between Elegance Road and Lai Yip Street;
(k) An access road of Ngau Tau Kok Road to Garden Estate;
(l) An access road of Ngau Tau Kok Road to Lotus Tower Carpark;
(m) A section of Luen On Street between Ngau Tau Kok Road and Yee On Street;
(n) Horse Shoe Lane;
(o) A section of southbound Tung Ming Street between Hang On Street and Ngau Tau Kok Road;
(p) A section of westbound Yee On Street between Hong Ning Road and Tung Ming Street;
(q) A section of southbound Hong Ning Road between Yue Man Square and Kwun Tong Road; and
(r) A section of southbound Fu Yan Street between Yan Oi Court and Yue Man Square.
B. Traffic diversion
(a) All vehicles travelling along southbound Chun Wah Road heading for Kwun Tong areas will be diverted to Choi Ha Road and Choi Wan Road and vehicles heading for Mong Kok and Kowloon Bay areas will be diverted to Jordan Valley North Road and Ngau Tau Kok Road;
(b) All vehicles travelling along northbound On Wah Street heading for Kowloon Bay and Kwun Tong areas will be diverted to Jordan Valley North Road and Ngau Tau Kok Road;
(c) All vehicles travelling along southbound On Shin Road heading for Kowloon Bay and Kwun Tong areas will be diverted to On Tak Road, On Wah Street and Jordan Valley North Road;
(d) All vehicles travelling along Ting Yip Street heading for Kwun Tong areas will be diverted to Ting On Street and Kwun Tong Road;
(e) All vehicles travelling along eastbound Yee On Street heading for Kwun Tong areas will be diverted to northbound Tung Ming Street, Ming Chi Street and Hong Ning Road;
(f) All vehicles travelling along Tung Ming Street heading for Kwun Tong areas will be diverted to Hang On Street, Yee On Street, northbound Tung Ming Street, Ming Chi Street and Hong Ning Road; and
(g) All vehicles travelling along southbound Fu Yan Street heading for Kwun Tong areas will be diverted to Yan Oi Court, Tung Yan Street and Kwun Tong Road.
C. Suspension of taxi stand, public light bus stand and parking meters
(a) The taxi stand at Yue Man Square will be suspended between 9 am and 7 pm;
(b) The public light bus stands at Horse Shoe Lane will be suspended between noon and 5 pm and be relocated to Kung Lok Road near Tung Ming Street;
(c) The public light bus stands at On Wah Street will be suspended between noon and 5 pm; and
(d) The parking meters at Horse Shoe Lane will be suspended between 8 pm on July 1 and 5 pm on July 2.
D. On Street parking
Between 8 pm on July 1 and 7 pm on July 2, all on-street parking spaces at the layby outside Shui Wo Street market will be suspended. Any illegally parked vehicles will be towed away.
Motorists are urged to take heed of traffic signs and instructions by Police at the scene.
