Special traffic arrangements for parade in Central & Western District

Police will implement special traffic arrangements to facilitate a parade in the Central and Western District on July 2 (Monday).

The following special traffic arrangements will be implemented:

Road closure
------------

The following road will be closed between 11 am and 6.30 pm:
- A section of Queen's Road West between Belcher's Street and Kennedy Town Praya.

The following roads will be closed between 2.30 pm and 6.30 pm:
- A section of Queen's Road West between Hill Road and Kennedy Town Praya;
- A section of Belcher's Street between Queen's Road West and Davis Street;
- A section of Sai Cheung Street between Belcher's Street and Kennedy Town Praya; and
- The junction of Belcher's Street with Sands Street and Smithfield Road will be closed intermittently for the passage of the parade team.

Traffic diversion
-----------------

During the road closure period, motorists on Queen's Road West or Hill Road heading for Kennedy Town should travel via northbound Hill Road, westbound Des Voeux Road West, Kennedy Town Praya, Sands Street and Rock Hill Street.

Car Parks and Hotel Access
--------------------------

The ingress and egress of car parks at the following locations will be closed intermittently for the passage of the parade team during the road closure period:
- Cosco Hotel on Collinson Street; and
- The Westwood on Belcher's Street.

Police will divert vehicular access to and from the car parks to Collinson Street depending on the situation in the area.

On-street Parking Spaces and Illegal Parking
--------------------------------------------

The on-street parking spaces on the following streets will be suspended temporarily between 9 am and 7 pm:
- A section of North Street between Belcher's Street and Rock Hill Street;
- Forbes Street; and
- Cadogan Street.

All illegal parking within the event area will be removed promptly without prior warning.
