Body dumped inside suitcase in Stanley

Police are investigating a case in which a body was found being dumped inside a suitcase in Stanley last (June 25) evening.

The case came to light at about 7 pm when a caretaker reported to Police that odd smell was emerging from a manhole near a catchments on Wong Ma Kok Road, Stanley.

Police arrived at the scene and discovered a badly decomposed body was being dumped inside a suitcase and placed inside the manhole.

It was believed the body was a medium built woman but the identity of the body was yet to be established.

A post-mortem will be conducted later today to ascertain the cause of death of the deceased.

District Crime Squad Western District is investigating the case.
