Appeal for information on dead body found in Aberdeen (with photo)

Police today (June 7) appealed to the public for information on a dead body found in Aberdeen on May 25.

At about 7.34 am on May 25, Police received a report that a man was found hanging at the staircases near 56 Repulse Bay Road. The man was certified dead by ambulancemen at scene.

Standing about 1.65 metres, the deceased was a Chinese man aged about 50. He was of thin built and with short hair. He was wearing a dark grey long-sleeved shirt, a pair of blue jeans, a pair of black sports shoes and a blue/white cap marked with 'SCHENKER' when found.

A will note was found on the body while no identity document was found at scene. Initial investigation revealed that there was no suspicious circumstance surrounding his death.

Police urged anyone who knows the identity of the deceased to contact investigating officers of Miscellaneous Enquiries Sub-Unit of Aberdeen Division on 2870 7271.
