Man charged with blackmail

Police tonight (May 11) charged a 26-year-old man with one count of blackmail.

The man was arrested yesterday (May 10) at his residence in Tai Wai in connection with blackmail against ten local jewellery companies in Kowloon West region in September 2006.

The case will be heard at the Eastern Magistrates' Courts tomorrow (May 12).
