Fatal traffic accident in Sha Tin

Police are investigating a crash reported late last night (April 28) in Sha Tin where a 36-year-old man was killed.
At around 11.40 pm, a light goods vehicle driven by the 36-year-old man was travelling along Tai Po Road towards the New Territories. When reaching near New Town Plaza, it allegedly lost control and rammed railings on the left, then hit the central divider on the right before coming to a halt. Officers from a patrolling Police vehicle spotted the incident and sped to the scene.
The subject driver was found in a coma and rushed to the Prince of Wales Hospital where he was certified dead at 12.53 am today (April 29).
Investigations will be conducted by the Special Investigation Team, Traffic New Territories South.
