Fatal traffic accident in Tai Po

Police are investigating a traffic accident in which a male motorcyclist was killed in Tai Po early this morning (April 15).

Shortly after midnight, a motorcycle travelling along Ting Kok Road towards Tai Po reportedly lost control and sideturned to the left near Mei Wu Road. After the accident, the 56-year-old motorcyclist fell on the ground and hit a lamppost on the roadside.

Sustaining serious head injuries, he was rushed to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital where he was certified dead at 1.02 am.

Investigations will be taken over by Special Investigation Team, Traffic New Territories North.
