Fatal traffic accident in Sham Shui Po
Police are investigating a fatal crash in which a 37-year-old man was killed in Sham Shui Po this evening (March 31).
Shortly before 8 pm, a private car driven by a 23-year-old man was travelling along Lai Chi Kok Road heading south. Upon reaching the junction of Pei Ho Street, it reportedly knocked down the 37-year-old man who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the man was rushed to the Caritas Medical Centre where he was certified dead at 8.30 pm.
The private car driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death.
Investigations will be taken over by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West.
