Head-bashing robbery suspect arrested

Police yesterday (March 27) arrested a 23-year-old man in connection with three head-bashing robbery cases earlier this month.

After in-depth investigations by officers of Regional Crime Unit of Kowloon West, the 23-year-old man was arrested at his Tin Yan Estate premises in Tin Shui Wan at about 5.30 pm yesterday.

He was suspected to be in connection with three robberies which were reported in Sham Shui Po and Tsuen Wan earlier this month.

In all of these reported cases, a male culprit used a hammer to hit victims' head and declared robbery after gaining entry into the victims' flats.

The man is still being detained for further enquiries.
