Appeal for information on three head-bashing robbery cases
Police today (March 24) appealed to members of the public to provide information on three robbery cases in which three women aged between 29 and 35 were injured earlier this month.
The cases were reported on March 17, 20 and 21 respectively. The first case occurred at a flat on Castle Peak Road in Sham Shui Po while the others occurred at two other flats on Sha Tsui Road in Tsuen Wan.
In all three cases, a man used a hammer to hit the victims' head and declared robbery after gaining entry into their flats.
All three female victims sustained head injury and were sent to hospitals for treatment.
A total of $2,200 cash and two mobile phones were being robbed in the first two cases.
In the third case, the victim struggled with the culprit who fled empty-handed afterwards. It was believed that the man has sustained head injury during the course.
Initial enquiries revealed that three cases might be committed by the same male culprit. Aged about 20-23, he was 1.57 metres in height, of thin build and has a pointed face.
Investigations by Regional Crime Unit of Kowloon West are proceeding.
Anyone who has information on the case or the culprit is urged to contact the investigation officers at 2760 5561 or 9020 6530.
