Fatal traffic accident in North Point
Police are investigating a traffic accident in North Point in which an 80-year-old woman was killed and two other persons were injured this morning (February 26).
Shortly after 4.05 am, a motorcycle driven by a 28-year-old man was travelling along eastbound King's Road. While reaching outside 1067 King's Road, the motorcycle reportedly knocked down two women who were crossing the road.
Sustaining injuries, the motorcyclist and the two female pedestrians, aged 66 and 80, were rushed to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital. The 80-year-old woman was certified dead at 10.36 am.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island are proceeding.
