Fatal traffic accident in Sham Shui Po
Police appealed for information on a traffic accident in which a 44-year-old man was killed this morning (February 13) in Sham Shui Po.
Shortly before 11.15 am, a light goods vehicle was travelling along northbound Pei Ho Street. While making a right turn into Berwick Street, the vehicle reportedly knocked down a 44-year-old man who was crossing the road.
After the impact, the man was trapped underneath the vehicle and was rescued by the firemen. Sustaining serious injuries, the man was rushed to the Caritas Medical Center where he was certified dead at 11.35 am.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic Kowloon West are proceeding.
