Man dies in Tuen Mun Crash
A 24-year-old private car driver died in a traffic accident occurred in Tuen Mun early this (February 2) morning.
Shortly before 12.30 am, a private car reportedly ran out of control as it was travelling along Yuen Long Highway toward Sheung shui near To Yuen Wai.
It first rammed into the central divider and then swerved to the left side of the road and ruptured about seven meters of guard railing of the carriageway.
The vehicle continues to rush forward and ripped in two after crashing into another private car in front which was travelling in the same direction.
The 24-year-old male driver was thrown out of the vehicle after the impact. He was taken to the Tuen Mun Hospital where he was certified dead at 1.07 am.
The Special Investigation Team for Traffic New Territories North is investigating cause of the accident.
