Appeal for information on dead body found in Stanley
Police today (January 4) appealed to members of the public for information on a dead body found case in Stanley in December 2006.
At about 9.45 am on December 10, 2006, Police received a report that a person was found hanging on a tree at a hill slope in Tai Tam Intermediate Reservoir. It was later confirmed to be a man aged between 40 and 50.
Standing about 1.8 metres, he was wearing a long-sleeved shirt with blue and yellow checkers, a pair of blue jeans and a pair of blue sports shoes when discovered. A black rucksack containing personal properties believed to be belonged to the deceased were located in the vicinity. They included an MD player, a metal necklace in silver colour with a pendant and a leaf-shaped metal ornament in golden colour. No identity document was found at the scene.
Initial enquiries revealed that no suspicious circumstances were detected.
Police urge anyone who witnessed the incident or knows the identity of the deceased to contact the investigating officers of District Investigation Team of Western on 2859 4264.
