Appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Kowloon City

Police today (December 23) appealed to the public to provide information on a traffic accident in which a man was killed in Kowloon City today.

At about 7.15am, a bus driven by a 46-year-old woman was travelling along the slow lane of Lion Rock Tunnel Road towards Kowloon. At the same time, a motorcycle driven by a 23-year-old man was travelling along the second lane in the same direction. When both vehicles reached the exit of the tunnel, the motorcycle reportedly hit the bus.

After the impact, the man was certified dead at scene. The female bus driver also felt unwell and was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are proceeding.
