Appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Yuen Long
Police appealed to members of the public for information on a traffic accident in which a 29-year-old man died in Yuen Long today(December 8).
At about 4.56am, a private car driven by a 29-year-old male was travelling along a slip road of Long Tin Road. When left turning to Tuen Mun bound of Castle Peak Road- Ping Shan, it lost control and crashed onto the central divider.
After the impact, the driver was trapped inside the compartment and sustained serious injuries. He was rescued by firemen and sent to the Tuen Mun Hospital where he was certified dead at 5.43am. The private car's 28-year-old female passenger was also injured during the accident. She was also sent to the Tuen Mun Hospital.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North are underway.
