Fatal traffic accident in Sha Tin

Police are appealing for witnesses to a traffic accident which occurred in Sha Tin this (November 3) afternoon in which a 29-year-old woman died and three men injured.

At about 2 pm, a private car driven by a 32-year-old man was travelling along Sha Tin Heights section of Tai Po Road towards Kowloon. While negotiating a right bend, the private car reportedly ran across the opposite carriageway and rammed onto a taxi.

Sustaining serious injuries, the private car driver, the 29-year-old private car female passenger, the 60-year-old taxi driver and a 29-year-old taxi passenger were sent to Prince of Wales Hospital where the woman was certified dead at about 2.54 pm.
