Fatal traffic accident in Sha Tin

Police are investigating a traffic accident in which a 50-year-old man was killed in Sha Tin this morning (November 2).

At about 10.20 am, a tractor driven by a 54-year-old man reportedly knocked down the 50-year-old man while it was reversing inside the open area of Sha Tin Refuse Transfer Station on On Hing Lane.

After the impact, the man was trapped underneath the vehicle and was certified dead at scene.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South are underway.
