Five persons arrested in connection with attack on the Hon Albert Ho
Police yesterday (October 12) arrested three men aged from 27 to 57 suspected to be in connection with the attack on the Hon Albert Ho Chun-yan in a fast food restaurant in Central on August 20. In addition, a 53-year-old woman was also arrested in the operation.
Meanwhile, with the assistance of the Guangdong Public Security Bureau, another Hong Kong man aged 44 was also arrested yesterday in the Mainland in connection with the case and was handed over to the Hong Kong Police this afternoon for further enquiries.
After indepth investigation, officers of the Regional Crime Unit of Hong Kong Island identified four male persons suspected to be directly involved in the attack on Mr Ho and an arrest operation was mounted yesterday.
All the arrested persons are still being detained for enquiries and active investigation into the case is still continuing.
