Appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Yau Ma Tei
Police appealed to the public to provide information on a traffic accident in which a man was killed in Yau Ma Tei today (October 4).
At about 10.45am today, a coach driven by a 48-year-old man was travelling along the third lane of Jordan Road towards Nathan Road. When it reached the junction with Parkes Street, the driver reportedly knocked down a man.
After the impact, the man sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he was certified dead at 11.13am.
The man, with no identity document found on him, was aged about 60 to 70, stands about 1.7 metres tall and of thin built. He was wearing a dark blue T-shirt, a pair of black trousers and a pair of sandals.
Enquiries by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are proceeding.
