Fatal traffic accident in Lok Ma Chau

Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Lok Ma Chau early this morning (September 19) in which a 52-year-old man was killed.

Shortly after 1.30 am, a taxi driven by the 52-year-old man with two passengers on board was travelling along Fanling Highway towards Sheung Shui. While reaching the Lok Ma Chau Roundabout, the passengers found that the driver has lost consciousness and the taxi reportedly lost control and rammed into the central divider.

The taxi driver was rushed to the North District Hospital where he was certified dead at 2.30 am.

Investigations will be taken over by the Special Investigation Team of New Territories North.
