Appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Hung Hom
Police today (August 19) appealed to members of the public for information on a traffic accident in which a 79-year-old man died in Hung Hom earlier this month.
At about 9.10am on August 8, a public light bus driven by a 43-year-old man was travelling along Baker Street heading for Mei Foo. It then made a right-turn onto Gillies Avenue South towards Wuhu Street and allegedly hit a 79-year-old man who was crossing the road.
After the impact, the 79-year-old man sustained serious head injury. He was sent to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he was certified dead at 1.35pm on August 13.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are underway.
