Duo arrested for trafficking in dangerous drugs (with photo)

Police arrested a 34-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman for trafficking in dangerous drugs in Cheung Sha Wan this afternoon (August 15).

Acting on information, officers of Narcotics Bureau intercepted a 34-year-old man outside 875 Lai Chi Kok Road at about 2.30 pm. The man was found in possession of about 500 grams of suspected Ketamine.

Subsequent search in his residence at 863 Lai Chi Kok Road led to a further seizure of two kilograms of suspected Ketamine, 1,400 tablets of suspected Ecstasy, about 12 grams of suspected cocaine and two grams of suspected cannabis. Police also arrested a 32-year-old woman in the unit.

The haul can fetch about $ 0.43 million if sold in the local retail market.

The duo is still being detained for enquiries.
