Appeal for information on dead body found in Lantau (with photos)
Police today (July 28) appealed to the public for information on a dead body found in Lantau on July 25.
At about 6.30 pm on July 25, Police received a report that a body was found drifting off Pui O Beach in Lantau. It was later confirmed to be a female aged about 20 to 40.
The deceased stood about 1.65 metres and was of medium build. She was wearing a short-sleeved green T-shirt with a cartoon rabbit printed in front, a pair of blue jeans and a red string tied on her right foot for decoration when found.
A ten-cent Renminbi note and two silver rings were found on the body while no identity document could be found at scene. Initial Police investigation revealed that there was no suspicious circumstance surrounding her death.
Police urge anyone who knows the identity of the deceased to contact investigating officers of Miscellaneous Enquiries Sub-Unit of Lantau South Division on 2980 6290 or 2980 6291.
