Fatal traffic accident in Tsuen Wan

Police are investigating a traffic accident in Tsuen Wan this (July 15) morning in which a 39-year-old man was killed.

At about 10.30 am, a container truck travelling along Tuen Mun Road towards Kowloon. While reaching Tsuen Wan Road, it reportedly lost control and fell onto a slope about 12 meters in depth near Tsuen Wan section of Castle Peak Road.

After the impact, the 39-year-old driver was trapped inside the truck and was rescued by firemen. Sustaining serious injuries, he was rushed to Yan Chai Hospital where he was certified dead at 12.39 pm.

Investigations by Special Investigation Team of Traffic New Territories South are underway.
