Appeal for information on dead body found in Lantau (with photos)
Police today (July 5) appealed to the public for information on a dead body found in Lantau last month (June).
At about 6.40 pm on June 24, Police received a report that a body was found drifting off the old Tai O pier. It was later confirmed to be a female aged about 25 to 30.
The deceased stood about 1.6 metres and was of thin build. She was wearing a short-sleeved light brown T-shirt, a pair of beige trousers, a pair of brown silk socks, a pair of white sport shoes when found.
A small amount of Renminbi, a bundle of keys were found on the body while no identity document could be found at scene. Initial Police investigation revealed that there was no suspicious circumstance surrounding her death.
Police urge anyone who knows the identity of the deceased to contact investigating officers of Miscellaneous Enquiries Sub-Unit of Lantau South Division on 2980 6291 or 2980 6290.
