Murder in Sheung Shui
Police are investigating a murder in which a 40-year-old watchman was found dead at a waste recycle factory in Hang Tau, Sheung Shui last (June 30) evening.
Police received a report at about 6 pm from the 50-year-old factory owner that he discovered the watchman collapsed inside the container office and some iron and copper waste worth about $30,000 were also missing.
Police sped to the scene and found the watchman lying unconscious on the floor of a container office.
The watchman was certified dead at scene by ambulancemen. Investigation revealed that the hands and legs of the deceased were being tied up by electric wires and his head was wrapped by a T-shirt.
No external wound was found on the body. A post-mortem will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of dead of the deceased.
Officers from Regional Crime Unit, New Territories North are investigating the case.
