Fatal traffic accident in Cheung Sha Wan

Police appealed to members of the public to provide information on a fatal traffic accident happened in Cheung Sha Wan this morning (April 30) in which a man died and another man injured.

At about 9 am this morning, a private car driven by a 44-year-old man was travelling along the left first lane of West Kowloon Highway towards Mei Foo.When reaching outside The Pacifica, it reportedly lost control while changing lane and rammed onto the embankment.

Sustaining serious injuries, the male driver was rushed to the Princess Margaret Hospital where he was certified dead at 9.50 am.The other 26-year-old male passenger was slightly injured and was sent to Kwong Wah Hospital for medical treatment.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are proceeding.
