Robbery victims urged to come forward (with photo)
People in Hong Kong who are recent robbery victims but who did not report theirs cases to Police, have been urged to come forward.
The appeal was made today (April 27) after a 38-year-old man was arrested by patrolling officers in Tung Choi Street, Mong Kok at about 5 pm on April 9.
The man, standing at 1.7 metres and of thin build, was in possession of a 20-centimeter long fruit knife when he was arrested.
Further enquiries revealed that the man was suspected of being connected to a recent spates of robberies and burglaries in which most of the victims were robbed of mobile phones, cash and ornaments by a single culprit armed with knife.
Police appealed to people, especially taxi drivers and passers-by who may have been victims of similar style robberies in the past three months to come forward and contact the District Investigation Team 8, Kowloon City at 2761 8216.
