Fatal traffic accident in Sheung Shui
Police are investigating a traffic accident in which a 66-year-old man was killed in Sheung Shui this (April 1) afternoon.
At about 3.15 pm, a light goods vehicle driven by a 42-year-old man was travelling along northbound Jockey Club Road. When reaching near No. 17 Jockey Club Road, it reportedly knocked down a 66-year-old man who was riding a bicycle across the road.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the man was rushed to North District Hospital where he was certified dead at 3.32 pm.
Investigations will be taken over by Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North.
Police urge anyone who has witnessed the accident or has information to offer to contact the investigating officers at 2675 3325.
