Fatal traffic accident in Tsuen Wan

Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in which a 17-year-old woman was killed in Tsuen Wan this (March 26) morning.

At about 9am, a light goods vehicle driven by an 18-year-old man travelling along a slip road towards Tai Lam Tunnel on Tuen Mun road in Tsuen Wan reportedly lost control, crashed into the central divider, bounced back and damaged the barriers on the left side.

After the impact, the 17-year-old female passenger was trapped inside the compartment and was later rescued by firemen. She was certified dead by ambulancemen at scene.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South are proceeding.
