Appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Mong Kok
Police today (March 16) appealed for information on a traffic accident in which a 78-year-old man was injured in Mong Kok on January 11 and later died.
Shortly after 11.30 am on January 11, a public light bus driven by a 46-year-old man was travelling along the third lane westbound of Prince Edward Road West. On reaching the junction with Lai Chi Kok Road, the vehicle reportedly knocked down a 78-year-old man who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the man was rushed to the Kwong Wah Hospital. He was certified dead at 6.10 pm on March 7.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic Kowloon West are proceeding.
