Fatal traffic accident in Wong Tai Sin

Police are investigating a traffic accident in which an 88-year-old woman was killed in Wong Tai Sin today (March 10).

Shortly before 3.15 pm, a medium goods vehicle driven by a 48-year-old man was travelling along the second lane of Ching Tak Street. Upon reaching outside No.102, Ching Tak Street, the vehicle reportedly knocked down an 88-year-old woman who was crossing the road.

Sustaining leg and head injuries, the women was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where she was certified dead at 3.45 pm.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic Kowloon East is proceeding.
