During the operation, Police arrested the four men in Shui Tau Tsuen, Pat Heung where some horse-racing and soccer betting slips with a face value of about $5.5 million and $140,000 cash were seized.

They were subsequently charged with bookmaking and money laundering.

Two of the defendants, aged 36 and 40, were convicted of bookmaking and money laundering while the other two, aged 32 and 43, were convicted of money laundering at the District Court on February 25.

Meanwhile, Police also applied to the court to confiscate the proceeds of the 40-year-old defendant under the Organized and Serious Crime Ordinance.
