Appeal for information on serious traffic accident in Tai Po
Police today (February 26) appealed to members of the public to provide information on a traffic accident in which a 23-year-old man was seriously injured in Tai Po.
At about 6.45am on February 19, a private car driven by a 23-year-old man was travelling along the left second lane of Tolo Highway towards Sha Tin. Upon reaching near Pak Shek Kok, it was reportedly hit by an unknown vehicle. It then lost control and rammed the crash barrier and stopped on the slip road of Tolo Highway.
The unknown vehicle, which is a dark-coloured private car, fled after the accident.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the driver was rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital for medical treatment.
Investigations by the Accident Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North are proceeding.
