Woman jailed for possession of counterfeit notes
A 17-year-old female two-way permit holder was sentenced to three months' imprisonment at the Tuen Mun Magistrates' Courts today (February 25) for possession of counterfeit notes.
The court heard that in an operation mounted by the Police Commercial Crime Bureau on November 21, 2005, the 17-year-old woman was intercepted on Yuen Long Main Road in Yuen Long and was arrested after six counterfeit $500 banknotes were seized from her wallet.
She was later charged with one count of possession of counterfeit notes and the sentence was handed down at the Tuen Mun Magistrates' Courts today.
