Injured person found case classified as murder
Police today (February 15) classified an injured person found incident in Mong Kok on February 8 as murder.
At about 5.20 am on February 8, Police received a report that a man was found collapsed on the pavement outside 714 Shanghai Street.
The man, sustaining head injuries, was sent to Kwong Wah Hospital for medical treatment. He was certified dead at 8.30 am on February 13.
Police investigations revealed that a ring, two mobile phones, and a wallet containing cash, identity documents and several credit cards in the man's possession were found missing after the incident.
Officers of the District Crime Squad (DCS) of Mong Kok took over the investigation and arrested three men aged between 37 and 47 in connection with the case.
Among the arrestees, two men, aged 39 and 47, are still being detained for enquiries while the 37-year-old man has been released on Police bail.
A post-mortem conducted on the deceased today revealed that he died of head injuries.
Investigations by DCS of Mong Kok are continuing.
