Appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Sham Shui Po

Police today (February 7) appealed to members of the public for information on a traffic accident in which an 88-year-old man was killed in Sham Shui Po yesterday (February 6).

About 6.30pm yesterday, a public light bus driven by a 54-year-old man was travelling along the southeast bound of Tai Hang Tung Road. Upon reaching outside No. 12 Tai Hang Tung Road, it reportedly knocked down the 88-year-old man who was crossing the road.

Sustaining serious injuries, the man was sent to the Caritas Medical Centre where he was certified dead at 5.05am today.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are underway.
