Four men charged with counterfeit banknote offences
Police today (January 28) charged three men aged 20 to 31 jointly with one count of counterfeiting banknotes and a 21-year-old man with one count of custody of counterfeit banknote.
The Commercial Crime Bureau mounted an operation to tackle a counterfeit banknote syndicate yesterday (January 27). The four men and two other men aged 17 and 18 were arrested after the officers raided four locations in Kowloon with the seizure of 23 pieces of suspected counterfeit banknote.
The four men will appear in the Kowloon City Magistrates' Courts on January 30.
Meanwhile, the two other men were released on bail pending further enquiries.
