Appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Ngau Tau Kok
Police today (January 26) appealed to members of the public for information on a traffic accident in Ngau Tau Kok on January 24 in which an 87-year-old man was killed.
At about 3.50 pm, a coach driven by a 54-year-old man was travelling along Wang Kwong Road towards Mong Kok. While making a right turn into Kai Yan Street, the coach reportedly knocked down the 87-year-old man who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the man was rushed to the United Christian Hospital where he was certified dead at 11.09 pm on the same day.
Investigations by Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East are proceeding.
Police urge anyone who might have witnessed the accident or has any information to offer to contact the investigating officers at 2305 7500 or 2305 7571.
