Appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Cheung Sha Wan
Police today (January 14) appeal to members of the public for information on a traffic accident in which an 81-year-old woman was killed in Cheung Sha Wan earlier this month.
At about 11.40 am on January 9, a taxi driven by a 55-year-old man was travelling along Cheung Sha Wan Road towards Mong Kok. Upon reaching the junction with Hing Wah Street, it reportedly knocked down the 81-year-old woman who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious injuries, the woman was sent to the Caritas Medical Centre where she was certified dead at 6.40 pm on the same day.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are underway.
