Force athletes showed their prowess in table tennis, shooting and other events, taking 15 gold medals at the World Police and Fire Games in Indianapolis last month. The great gold tally contributed to the Force's 42 medals, which included 21 silver and six bronze medals.

The table tennis squad again proved their dominance with Chief Inspector Ma Lung-sang, Sergeant Lau Chun-fung, Woman Police Constables Chan Wai-chong and Tai Hoi-tik collectively taking five gold and two silver medals in seven singles, doubles and mixed doubles events.

Force shooters WPCs Wong Tung-nei, Chan Tak-ni and Lui Siu-chong, and PC Ng Yan-kit, collectively won three gold, three silver and four bronze medals.

Good performances on the tennis court from Inspector Lee Kwok-chung, WSGT Au Suk-yee, Woman Senior Inspector Ip Ka-yee and WPC Cheung Mei-lan landed a gold and five silver medals in singles and doubles events.

In athletics, Acting Chief Inspector Andy Naylor, PC Chung Kiu-man and WSGT Wong Yin-yee secured two gold, six silver and one bronze medals in cross country, half marathon and assorted track events. Tenpin bowlers Senior PC Lok Sui-ching and PC Yim Chi-shing won two silvers and a bronze, while archer SPC Hau Tin-sung won both a gold and silver.

Orienteers WIP Ada Lam Yuen-kwan and SGT Wong Hak-shun won a gold each, the former also sharing a silver with Wong Tung-nei in the women's shooting biathlon.

IP Adrian Ma Wai-hing won a gold and silver in badminton, while WIP Choi Nga-wing won silver in the women's open 100-metre backstroke.
