Force gunsmiths headed to Xiang Fan in Hubei for the National Gong An Shooting Competition 2000 held July 6 to 12.
More than 30 police teams from across the Mainland, Hong Kong and Macau took part. Police Sports Council Vice-Chairman Charles Wong Doon-yee led the HK squad, along with team manager Cheng See-hing.
Despite a tough and courageous performance, the HK team were unable to outdo the mammoth Mainland contenders. However, all said they treasured the trip and the experience learned from their sharp-shooting yet hospitable Mainland counterparts.
