The Police Swimming Club (PSC) organised the “180th anniversary of Hong Kong Police Force - Disciplined Services Swimming Competition” on October 10. Elite swimmers from the Correctional Services Department, Customs and Excise Department, Fire Services Department (FSD), Government Flying Service and Immigration Department were invited to join the competition. To enhance communication with the youth and various social sectors, PCS invited swimming teams from Special Olympics Hong Kong, local universities and secondary schools to take part in the relay races.
Acting Secretary for Security Mr Michael Cheuk, Commissioner Siu Chak-yee and heads of the other disciplined services attended to cheer for the swimmers and present prizes. Eventually, FSD won the Men’s Overall Champion. The Women’s Overall Champion went to the Force. During the races, swimmers from the Force broke several swimming records of the Force.
