Director of the Police College (the College) Chan Yee-lai and Pro-Vice-Chancellor/Vice-President (Education) Prof Poon Wai-yin of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on July 18. The ceremony was witnessed by Director of Personnel and Training (DPT) Choi Chin-pang and Provost of CUHK Prof Chan Kam-leung.


Both parties collaborate to introduce the “Badge to Bachelor” Scheme for Force officers. It is the first part-time Senior Year Admission programme launched by CUHK. Under the scheme, CUHK provides serving regular Force officers who possess an Associate Degree or a Higher Diploma with opportunities to pursue a part-time Bachelor’s Degree through Senior Year Admission programmes. CUHK will offer 40 Bachelor’s Degree programmes for Force officers to choose from and provide them with exemption on credit and tuition fee for the extended study years.
