The Cyber Attack and Defence Elite Training cum Tournament co-organised by the Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau (CSTCB), Digital Policy Office and Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation Limited concluded on August 2. The three-day event provided training for 160 practitioners in cyber security from more than 70 organisations and attracted 740 participants forming over 300 teams to take part in the tournament.
CSTCB has been organising cyber incident response training annually since 2021. Practical elements and penetration testing were added to this year’s training for participants to better understand the network infrastructure of their organisations. The event also provided a platform for the industry and academic elites to practise the skills they have learned and to test their capabilities in responding to cyber incidents in the online and physical competitions, as well as engaging in discussions with top industry experts.
