Guangzhou
Superintendent Chan Wing and Chief Inspector Ho Tsz-in led a 25-member delegation to attend the Mainland Development Programme at Guangdong Police College in Guangzhou between March 18 and 23. The delegates joined thematic seminars and site visits to gain in-depth understanding on the country’s development, police training and operational planning procedures in the Mainland, the mode of co-operation between Hong Kong and Guangdong in combating cross-boundary crimes, as well as the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). The delegates also visited the National Archives of Publications and Culture, the Guangzhou police history exhibition and the intelligent vehicle manufacturing facilities.
Beijing
Acting Senior Superintendent Lai Ho-fai and Superintendent Chan Yin-mat led five inspectors and 21 junior police officers to attend the 108th Mainland Development Programme at Beijing Police College between April 15 and 26. The delegation also exchanged thoughts on policing practices in Beijing and Hong Kong. The programme covered the latest policing trends and technology application in the Mainland, as well as the Basic Law and Hong Kong National Security Law.
Shanghai
Senior Superintendent Yeung Chun-yee and Superintendent Tang Yu-hin led a 28-member delegation to attend the 109th Mainland Development Programme at the Shanghai Police College between May 20 and 31. The programme covered topics on “one country, two systems”, the development of GBA and the Mainland legal system. The delegates also visited police stations and tactics bases in Shanghai and Nanjing, as well as touring a number of national museums and historical and cultural relics.
